Eve Cuny, MS

Eve Cuny is the managing partner of Eve Cuny Consulting, LLC. She has worked extensively with dental workers, educators, manufacturers and professional groups to promote the science and practice of infection control and safety in dental settings. Ms. Cuny is the Director of Environmental Health and Safety at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco , CA where she is also Assistant Professor in the department of Pathology and Medicine. Professor Cuny received her BA in management and MS in Health Service Administration. She attended the certificate program in Environmental Hazard Management at U. C. Berkeley. Eve is a nationally-recognized speaker on infection control and safety in the dental office and has presented more than 100 continuing education courses throughout North America , contributed to textbooks, conducted dental infection control research, and published articles on infection control and safety in dentistry. She is a member of the advisory group that assisted in the development of the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-care Settings, 2003 . Ms. Cuny is a member of ADEA, APIC, OSAP and the ADA. Eve is Editor-in-Chief of Contemporary Dental Assisting, a professional journal for dental assistants.

Shannon E. Mills, DDS

Dr. Shannon E. Mills an internationally recognized expert in infection control and has been a featured speaker at conferences in the US and abroad. Dr. Mills' research efforts have focused on dental unit water contamination and other infection control issues. As a member of an expert panel convened by the American Dental Association (ADA), he helped draft the 1995 ADA statement on dental unit water lines and has assisted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in development of recommendations on this topic. Dr. Mills is a Fellow of both the Academy of General Dentistry and the International College of Dentists. He currently serves as Chair of the ADA Standards Committee for Dental Products is a Past-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures.

Dr. Mills was a member of the advisory panel that assisted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the development of the Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings--2003. He has lectured extensively at major dental meetings including:
